LASER HAIR REMOVAL

If you’re not happy with tweezing, shaving, or waxing to remove unwanted hair, laser hair removal is an option that will be very beneficial in considering. Laser hair removal is the process of hair removal by means of exposure to pulses of laser light that destroy the follicles. Laser hair removal is one of the most commonly done cosmetic procedures in the U.S. It is most effective when there is a contrast between the color of your hair and the shade of your skin.

Pre-Care Instructions 

The following restrictions require your compliance to cease prior to service on treatment area(s):

● NSAIDs; ie. ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Nuprin), naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn) – 5 days
● Blood thinners; ie. aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E, St. John’s Wort – 5 days
● Excessive sun exposure and tanning beds – 3 days
● Retinoids (ie. retinol; Retin-A) – 3-5 days
● Aggressive exfoliation (ie. topical acne medications; AHAs/BHA; scrubs) – 3-5 days
● Shaving/depilatory creams – 1 week

It is important that each guest shave 24-48hrs prior to their reservation. Failure to do so, will incur a $35 shave fee as well the possibility of having to reschedule/cancel your reservation that will be an additional rescheduling/cancellation fee. 

                                                                    Post-Care Instructions 

● The day/night of, NO sun exposure, no hot showers, no saunas/steam rooms, apply SPF 30+
● The following day, use a gentle cleanser AM & PM and apply SPF 30+
● After 24 hours, resume application of topical vitamin C, hydrating serums, moisturizers, and SPF 30+
● After 1 week, resume application of topical vitamin A (ie. Retinol; Retin-A) and exfoliation

Safety Precautions
● Do not pick, scratch, or rub the treated area(s)
● Avoid skin care products containing irritants (ie. fragrance; dyes; and sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate)
● If face treated, cleanse makeup brushes/sponges prior to resuming application
● If body treated, wear clean and loose-fitted clothing that will not cause friction or trap in heat
● Disinfect phone, eyeglasses, and sunglasses with alcohol
● Change out pillowcase and towel
